FINNHARVEST HAS EXPANDED ITS OPERATIONS TO THE UNITED STATES

Finnharvest has had many different moments and turning points throughout its long history. In 1969, Sulo Piironen began timber harvesting in Palokki, Heinรคvesi. Over time, many cubic meters of wood were felled before the next generation took over the reins. The first trip to Germany took place in 2000, and operations there are still ongoing. In Sweden, activities started just under a year ago, in the spring of 2024.

Teamwork is the key!

For a long time, the Piironen brothers had a dream simmering in the back of their minds โ€” the idea of experiencing what timber harvesting is like on the other side of the Atlantic, in North America. Now, after extensive planning and preparation, the project has finally reached the point where Finnharvest Inc has begun logging operations in the state of Florida, USA. Even though the landscapes and surroundings in Florida are quite different from the old logging sites back in Palokki, one piece of advice from Supi still holds true: “Do the job so well that youโ€™d be proud to walk in your own tracks.”
